If we work hard and keep patience, we will be able to benefit from the Middle East markets which are dominated by Iranian carpets and other cheap carpets compared to our modern carpets designed to sell in Europe and America.
Our exhibitors were able to understand the trend of the Middle Eastern carpet buying patterns which will help them design carpets for future sale in the region.
On October 1, 2015 Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development H. E. Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al-Nahyan of UAE under whose patronage the expo was organized, opened the Expo by cutting the white ribbon at the entrance of Hall 5. Then the Minister visited the each and every stall.
NCEA President Mr. Anup Bahadur Malla had received the minister at the Nepal stand and briefed him about Nepal and Nepalese carpets. Mr. Netra Bahadur Tondon, Charge de’ Affairs at the Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi was also present in the Nepalese stands during the minister’s visit.

Another dignitary visiting Nepal stand was H. E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei Minister of Energy of UAE who thanked the exhibitors for participating.
This participation has also introduced Nepal as hand knotted carpet exporting country in the region where Nepal is only known as provider of Nepalese youths for employment.
